Do you often fall asleep to your favorite music on Spotify? It’s not very pleasant when the music plays all night, and in the morning the smartphone is completely discharged. Sometimes the headphones are also discharged.

Luckily, you can use a sleep timer that will automatically turn off the music in Spotify after a set amount of time. Here are three ways to set up a sleep timer for Spotify on iPhone and iPad.

1. Spotify’s built-in sleep timer

1)  Open the Spotify app, and enter the interface of the current track in it.

2)  In the upper right corner, click the icon in the form of three dots.

3)  Scroll down and select  Sleep Timer.

4)  Select the duration of the timer or the option “When [track] ends”.

Music in Spotify will automatically stop playing after the time you choose. If you are listening to a podcast, the sleep timer icon is displayed directly in the player.

2. Standard application “Clock”

1)  On your iPhone or iPad, open the Clock app and select the Timer tab.

2)  Use the sliders to select the time for your timer.

3)  Now select the option  “At the end”.

4)  Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and select  Stop. After that, in the upper right corner of the screen, click  “Install”.

5)  Now press  “Start” to start the timer.

When the timer expires, the music in Spotify will stop. This method is relevant for all music apps, including Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and more.

The methods above are very simple and convenient, but they are one-time. You cannot set them so that the music is automatically turned off every day at the set time. Fortunately, there is a third way for this.

3. Application “Teams”

If you fall asleep at more or less the same time every day and listen to music before bed, this method is for you. You can set a sleep timer that will automatically turn off the music every day at 10 pm or a convenient time for you. You don’t have to start the timer manually every time.

1)  Open the Teams app on iPhone or iPad and select the Automation tab.

2)  Click  “Create an automation for yourself. If you already have an automation, click the plus icon first.

3)  Select the item  “Time of day”.

4)  Select the time you need, and below the option  “By Day”. If you want to exclude weekends, select the Weekly option and uncheck the boxes next to Saturday and Sunday.

5)  Click  “Next” in the top right corner.

6)  In the search bar at the bottom of the screen, find the  Play / Pause action and select it.

7)  Click the blue  Play/Pause label and select  Pause.

8 )  Click  Next_

9)  Turn off the option  “Ask before launch”  >  “Do not ask”  and click  “Finish”. You have created an automation, and now it will stop the music every day at the time you choose.

If you want to remove the timer, simply disable automation by selecting it. It is also fashionable to swipe the automation to the left to remove it.
