What is Sp Flash Tool?

Sp Flash Tool is the application provided and developed by MediaTek company to improve their processors’ performance. Meditek is a world-famous IC designer for smartphones, tablets, consumer goods, and many more.

(Android Read Only Memory) A file containing the executable instructions (a system image) of an Android OS and affiliated apps. The “stock ROM” comes installed on the phone or tablet, while a “custom ROM” comes from a third party. The custom ROM is either a uniquely modified OS, such as Cyanogen, or a stock version made available for older devices or new devices before the vendor release date.

Flashing the ROM

Flashing a ROM means installing the system image into the device’s internal flash memory. Flash memory holds the Android firmware, the same as most portable devices with an embedded OS.

How to Flash Stock Rom using Smart Phone Flash Tool

Step 1Download and install the Android USB Driver on your computer. In case Android USB Drivers are already installed on your computer, then skip this step.

Step 2Power Off your Android Smartphone and remove the Battery (if it is removable).

Step 3: Download the Stock Rom or Custom Rom that you want to Flash on your Android Smartphone and extract it on your computer.

Step 4Download and Extract Smart Phone Flash Tool on Your Computer. After Extracting, you will be able to see the following files:

Step 5: Now Open Flash_tool.exe (you will find this from the extracted files in Step#4).

Step 6: Once the Smart Phone Flash Tool is launched, Click on the Download Tab.

Step 7: In the Download Tab, now click on the scatter-loading button.

Step 8: Now, Locate the Scatter File (you will find the scatter file in the Stock ROM folder).

Step 9: Now, Click on the Download Button to begin the Flashing Process.

Step 10: Now, Connect your Smartphone to the Computer using USB Cable (without battery- if it is removable). After connecting the device to the computer, Press Volume Down or Volume Up key so that your computer easily detects your smartphone.

Step 11: Once Flashing is completed, a Green Ring will appear.

Step 12: Close the Smart Phone Flash Tool on your computer and disconnect your Android Smartphone from the computer.

Congratulations, Now your Android Smartphone is successfully running the Stock Rom you have Downloaded.

  1. kudos to you for your selfless service, i really appreciate what you are doing here….pls i need a favour from you, there is this tecno p5 that i want to unbrick, i have all the file needed for flashing but all my effort prof abortive, what i thing is that the phone was not rooted as the time it was brick and even restoring factory setting didn't solve the issue. and don't know what else to do, i will be glad if you can help me out anyway, also if you help me to get stock backup of unroot tecno p5 so that i can restore it probably it might work

  2. I installed Popkat rom on my techno H6 unfortunately today it got stuck at boot load. Went into recovery and got this error
    E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
    E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
    E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
    E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
    E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

    Tried restore but failed.Am stuck . pliz help

    • you are getting that errors because you want to follow what you know and not what was posted for you..
      To flash a custom Rom you must be rooted and have custom recovery installed
      you are using stock recovery to installed the custom that why you having that errors

  3. i want to flash InnJoo Halo using sp Flash Tools but my pc couldn't get drivers for Spreadtrum, and therefore , the pc can't communicate with the phone. I tried all the manual steps to install the Spreadtrum but seems i didn't succeed. am using win7 and win10. thanks

  4. Pls Emma I need clarification. I have flashed two custom rom on my infinix zero 2 X509. Using SP Flash tool. Is it possible for me to flash other custom roms meant for the phone using SP Flash tool without using Cwm recovery.
