Google Nexus 5X rooting made easy with the help Chainfire-Auto-Root tool you should be on Android 7.0 before using this tutorial also your device must be charged 40%- 80%.

Root Google Nexus 9 on Android 7.0

  1. The first thing to do is download  and install the Nexus 9 USB driver on your computer.
  2. The Next is enabling USB Debugging on your Google Nexus 5X. To that click on Settings icon>> click on About Phone & Tap Built Number for 5-8 times it will pop up and a message saying you are now a developer. Now press back button then go to developer options and enable the USB Debugging.
  3. Put Power off your Google Nexus 5X device.
  4. Up next is to enable Fastboot Mode on your Nexus 5X device take note your device is off. To enable FastBoot Mode: Do this same time Press and Hold “Volume Down and Power Button” until FastBoot Mode is enabled. Below is how FastBoot Mode look like.
  5. Now Connect your Nexus 5X to the computer.
  6. Download AutoRoot Tool and extract the app on the desktop of your Windows Computer. Below is the file you will see after extracting .
  7. Double click on the root-windows.bat file to launch it.
  8. Once root-windows.bat is launched you will see some command on black screen.
  9. Press any key from the keyboard of your computer to start the Nexus 5X rooting process.
  10. During the rooting process, you will get a message on your Nexus 5X asking to Unlock your Bootloader. Select Yes using volume up/down button and power button to continue.
  11. FastBoot Screen with Disabled Lock State (at button) is the next message you will get which means you have successfully unlocked the bootloader of Nexus 5.
  12. Your Google Nexus 9 will automatically show red android logo and rooting process will continue. Once done your Tablet will restart automatically which may take 2-3 minutes. 

Viola  Google Nexus 9 is rooted with SuperSU installed automatically during the rooting process.
